A new WHL rivalry begins tonight in Kelowna
A new Western Hockey League rivalry kicks off tonight as the Kelowna Rockets host the Penticton Vees for the first time at Prospera Place. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m., marking a historic first matchup between the two B.C. Interior teams at the WHL level.
The preseason game gives fans an early look at the Rockets’ 2025–26 roster, featuring returning veterans, new prospects, and several players competing for regular-season spots.
With the regular season starting September 19, this first-ever meeting offers a glimpse of what could become one of the Interior’s most exciting hockey showdowns.
