New veterans crosswalk for Kelowna
Aug 28, 2025 | 5:02 PM
A new veterans crosswalk has been unveiled in downtown Kelowna.
It has been painted at the entrance to Veendam Gardens, beside the cenotaph where the community gathers each November.
A statement from the Mayor’s office said, in part, the crosswalk will serve as a daily reminder of the courage and sacrifice of veterans past and present.
Tom Dyas thanked the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 — which will mark 100 years in 2026 — and City staff who helped bring this project to life.
