“Major concrete pour” going at ALC site

The City of Vernon has reached another milestone in the construction of the new recreation hub.

In a social media post, the city said crews were on site “doing a major concrete pour of the 50m pool slab” for the Active Living Centre Thursday, August 21.

The city did not state how long it would take to lay the concrete.

As of the latest update, the new ALC at the site of the former Kin Race Track lands was still on track to be completed and ready for users by the fall of 2026.
