Kelowna to build 195 affordable rentals

Jul 16, 2025 | 4:00 PM

The City of Kelowna is teaming up with Troika Developments to build two affordable housing projects on City-owned land in Glenmore and Rutland, creating 195 new rental units.

Forty per cent of these will be offered at below-market rents, capped at no more than 30 per cent of incomes between $80,000 and $120,000.

“Affordable housing is a council priority, and projects like these help meet the needs of middle-income families while supporting our local economy and community,” said Mayor Tom Dyas in a news release.

These developments are part of Kelowna’s Middle Income Housing Partnership and partially funded by the federal Housing Accelerator Fund.
