Program running to help make Vernon homes more energy efficient
Vernon homeowners have a new program to access to help improve energy use.
The City of Vernon has partnered with the B.C.-based non-profit Community Energy Association to launch a Retrofit Assist Program.
Under the program, residents will be able to access personalized, impartial guidance on home energy improvements, and be connected to available rebates and financial incentives for projects such as replacing aging systems like furnaces and doing geneal energy upgrades.
Homeowners can sign up to the Retrofit Assist Program online here, with the city noting the first 25 people who sign on will receive the service free of charge.
