Fire Danger Rating back up to High

Vernon’s Fire Danger Rating has increased once again.
The City of Vernon increased the danger rating to High, or Level 3, on Thursday.
The increase comes following a decline due to a cooler, wetter spell in June that brought the rating from High all the way down to Low, or Level 1, the previous week.
However, that weather system did not impact the Okanagan’s drought conditions, which the B.C. River Forecast had at Level 2 for the fourth straight week.
