Tom Green to host Canadian Country Music Awards in Kelowna

Tom Green’s Canadian comeback continues with plans to host this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards.

The Canadian Country Music Association says the comedian and actor will take the stage Sept. 13 in Kelowna, B.C., as host of the annual country music gala.

Green, known for his offbeat sense of humour, said in a statement that country music has always been part of his life growing up and that he is looking forward to bringing “a few surprises” to the show.

The event comes as Green pursues a number of Canadian projects, including an upcoming interview series for Crave titled Tom Green’s Funny Farm, which features guests visiting his rural Ontario property.
