Teen’s joyride ends near Lake Country

A dangerous joyride on an Okanagan highway was stopped just in time by police.

A 16-year-old drove his parents’ minivan at 160 kilometers an-hour near Lake Country without a license, with two teens unsecured in the back.

Officers issued a $955 dollar fine and impounded the vehicle for seven days.

Police remind parents to talk to their kids about safe driving.
