Water pressure spike causes problems in Clifton neighborhood

Jun 13, 2025 | 4:07 PM

Water service was being restored Friday afternoon and was set to be completed by 4 p.m. to the homes affected by the unplanned water pressure spike earlier in the day in the Clifton Road and Caldow Street area.

The City of Kelowna said if residents had any water that is coloured or appears cloudy, they should run their cold taps until water is clear.

About 300 homes were impacted.

The high pressure had the ability to damage plumbing and appliances, and residents were advised earlier to shut off their main water valve while crews dealt with the repairs.
