You’ve seen plenty of these before: ugly swings on your local golf course.

But a social media video posted has gone viral for all the wrong reasons and for swings of a particularly unattractive nature that police have called ‘unacceptable behavior.’ RCMP have launched an investigation.

Taken at Two Eagles at West Kelowna this week, the video shows a fight break out after one group apparently claims the other has played their shots into them and taken too long to play their round.

What starts as a shoving match becomes a brawl with one man in particular getting in his fair share of target practice.

The person taking the video is heard suggesting it’s important evidence to the violent altercation, and police confirmed they’ve watched the footage.

While it appears no one is seriously injured, one man who took a few hits to the face appears to have been left bloodied as well as shirtless.

RCMP confirmed with VernonMatters.ca that the incident happened Monday evening around 6:45 p.m.

West Kelowna RCMP responded and all parties have been identified and the incident is currently under investigation, RCMP said.

“We’ve viewed the cellphone video of the incident and it’s nothing short of unacceptable behaviour,” S/Sgt. Brendan Dolan NCO i/c West Kelowna Detachment, said.

“No further details will be provided while we continue to look into this matter.”
