Coldstream tax rates increasing by 9.44 per cent

The District of Coldstream has finalized its tax rate increase.

At its regular meeting on Monday, April 14, Coldstream council voted in favour of a rate increase of 9.44 per cent. That would translate to an average increase of $165 per year for a single family residential property.

A report to Coldstream council said the rates imposed and levied for the year cover general municipal purposes, debt repayment, the hospital levy, the Regional District of North Okanagan levy, the Okanagan Regional Library, and the North Okanagan Regional District Parcel Tax.

Coldstream’s Mayor was not immediately available for a comment regarding the rate increase.
