Kelowna Rockets to pick third, Penticton Vees fourth in 2025 WHL draft

The Kelowna Rockets will pick third overall in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft after Thursday’s lottery results. The team, which finished the season with the third-worst record, will also select 20th overall, thanks to a trade with the Spokane Chiefs.
The Penticton Vees, picking fourth overall, will start their draft with a strong position as an expansion team.
Kelowna could trade its picks to strengthen its roster for a potential Memorial Cup run in 2026, while Penticton will pick at the top of the second round and beyond.
Regina won the lottery and moved to the first pick, while Edmonton dropped to second.
