Serious injury in scooter crash, one rider leaves scene

Kelowna RCMP are asking for help after a kick scooter crash on Ellis Street.

Police say two riders collided around 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Ellis.

One rider was hurt and taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The second rider left before police arrived and has not been identified.

A relative of the injured man said in a Facebook post that he had been discharged with a fractured jaw and concussion. A photo was provided but his name was not mentioned.

Mounties asked anyone with CCTV of Ellis Street around the time of the incident to check their cameras for any additional evidence.

Police also want the other rider involved in this collision or you have any information regarding their identity to contact them.
