O’Keefe Ranch a finalist for heritage protection funds

The O’Keefe Ranch is one of 12 finalists in the Next Great Save 2025 Competition.

The competition collects public votes, with the up to $65,000 in cash prizes available to protect heritage places in Canada.

O’Keefe Ranch entered the competition with an effort to win money to preserve the mansion, the centrepiece of the ranch that is home to historic artifacts, such as furniture and art.

If O’Keefe wins the competition, the funding will be used to bring the mansion up to a reasonable state of repair so it can be more accessible and be used to host educational and cultural programs.

Votes in the Next Great Save 2025 Competition can be made online here. The deadline to vote is April 17.

The winner will be announced after the voting period closes. The finalist with the most votes will receive $50,000, with the second and third place finishers receiving $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.
