
Indigenous music fest to be held in Enderby
The North Okanagan will host an Indigenous music festival this weekend.
The Confluence Showcase: Rhizome 2 Resurgence Part II, will be held at the Splatsin Community Centre in Enderby, Saturday, March 8.
The event, which will be free to attend, will be headlined by Two-Spirit song carrier, composer, activist, and ethnomusicologist, Jeremy Dutcher, from Tobique First Nation.
The event will also feature a Welcoming Ceremony from the Splatsin nation and elders, a special opening ceremony by Mexika-Tenochka artists Ana Cornejo and Leo Vara, and performances from several other artists.
