Vernon man wins $500K in Christmas lotto draw

A Vernon resident is half-a-million dollars richer after an exciting Christmas day lottery win.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation said Rielly Cameron won the $500,000 Extra prize from the Lotto Max draw on December 24, 2024.

“I bought the ticket on Christmas Eve and on Christmas morning I saw on Facebook that there was an unclaimed ticket in Vernon,” Cameron told the BCLC.

“I scanned the ticket [on BCLC’s Lotto App] and the first thing I said was, ‘I guess we are getting a new house!’”
