A decision in a retrial of a sexual assault of a minor has been pushed back.

Keith Chase, accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl while he was her hockey coach in 2004, appeared in Vernon court Friday, Jan. 30, to learn the decision in a retrial.

However, the B.C. Prosecution Service told Vernon Matters the case had been adjourned to February 5, adding it anticipated the decision would be handed down at that time.

The retrial was ordered after the BC Court of Appeals ruled there were errors made by the judge in the original trial.
