The local branch of Habitat for Humanity is running a raffle fundraiser that has already received a lot of support.

The Okanagan branch of the organization’s 50/50 raffle had already surpassed the $144-000 mark as of Wednesday, Dec. 11, and the campaign continues through to midnight Saturday, Dec. 14.

Half of the money raised through the campaign will go to the raffle draw winner, while the other half will go towards building housing projects for people in need in the Central Okanagan.

“This 50/50 raffle is a win-win for everyone,” Andrea Manifold, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Okanagan, said.

“Not only does the winner take home an incredible cash prize, but every ticket purchased fuels our efforts to create lasting change in the lives of local families. The more the pot grows, the bigger the impact we can make collectively. This is a true community effort together, we’re building homes and hope in our community.”

Tickets can be purchased at the Habitat for Humanity Okanagan website.
