Kelowna RCMP will be running it’s annual campaign to collect gifts for families in need.

The annual Stuff a Cruiser campaign will run Saturday, Nov. 30.

Kelowna RCMP will have two cruisers set up where people can drop off toy donations that day, one at the detachment on Clement Ave., and another at the Toys R Us at 2020 Harvey Ave. Both vehicles will be open with officers accepting donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Toy donations made through the Stuff a Cruiser campaign will be given to the Salvation Army, who will provide the gifts to families in need this holiday season.

“If you are able to make a donation, please drop off an unwrapped toy at either of the two locations and officers and volunteers will “stuff” the toys into the police cruisers,”Cpl. Michael Gauthier, Kelowna RCMP Media Relations Officer, said.

The Stuff a Cruiser campaign in 2023 collected over $11,000 and 500 toys, thanks in part to a matching donation from Stutters Restoration.

People who wish to make a donation but cannot attend one of the events can drop off gifts at the Kelowna RCMP detachment Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
