Water Quality Advisory extended for Delcliffe area due to more reservoir work

The Water Quality Advisory affecting the Delcliffe area needs to be extended for almost a month.

Greater Vernon Water (GVW) said more required work was discovered upon draining the reservoir, and that the advisory would need to be extended for select properties through to December 20.

GVW advised people in the affected area bring tap water to a roiling boil for a full minute before drinking; preparing food or drinks, including ice and baby formula; and before brushing teeth.

The Water Quality Advisory will be lifted once work at the reservoir has been completed and testing shows the water is safe for consumption.
