Noose found hanging in Armstrong playground

Police have been made aware of a noose found hanging where children play in Armstrong.

A picture of the noose, hanging at the top of a slide at the playground at Memorial Park, was shared by an anonymous person on social media.

The poster stated they untied the rope, threw it away, and notified police.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP confirmed to Vernon Matters that they were notified of the noose on Thursday, Oct. 24, and that it was taken down by a member of the public.

However, police said there were no indication that the item was left as a threat or was targeted at anyone, so an investigation would not be conducted .
