Almost 5,800 advance votes cast locally Tuesday
Advance voting for the 2024 Provincial General Election picked up again in the local ridings Tuesday, Oct. 16.
ElectionsBC said more than 2,800 advance votes were cast in the Vernon-Lumby riding Tuesday, and another nearly 3,000 ballots were filled in and submitted in the Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream riding.
Those were the second-highest advance vote figures for the ridings, both falling just behind the first early voting day totals.
The advance votes Tuesday brought the total votes cast in advance in Vernon-Lumby to over 11,000, while the riding that includes Coldstream had seen more than 10,000 votes cast in the five days of advance voting.
