Victorian-Era séance events planned for Caetani Centre

The Cataeni Cente will celebrate the spooky season with a Victorian-era Halloween Event.

A ghostly tour and séance will be held in the 130-year-old heritage house.

The Caetani Centre said extravagant parties were a part of All Hallow’s Eve celebrations during Victorian times, with many of them featuring séances, fortune telling, and the use of Ouija boards.

The Caetani Centre will bring those celebrations back to the present with Conjure the Spirits – A Victorian Halloween events at the historic house on October 25 and 26. These events will feature a guided tour of the mansion, a reception with refreshments, and a reenactment of a Victorian-era séance.

“There may be some audience interaction for those who wish to participate, and we will ensure that all unwelcome spirits are warded off,” Amelia Sirianni, known for her work with Ghost Tours of Vernon and a participant in the Caetani Centre’s Halloween event for the past two years, stated.

The Caetani Centre encouraged attendees to don their finest Victorian-era costumes and come ready for an evening of fun with an open minds and a willingness to embrace the paranormal.

Tickets for the Conjure the Spirits – A Victorian Halloween events are limited, and people wishing to attend can secure their spots at the séance party online here.

The Caetani Centre will also celebrate Halloween by handing out candies to trick-or-treaters from 5 to 8 p.m. on October 31.
