Grindrod residents asked to boil tap water

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for Grindrod.

The Regional District fo North Okanagan, on behalf of Greater Vernon Water, said Tuesday, August 20, that there was an unexpected loss of pressure to the Grindrod Water Utility while the water distribution pumps were being upgraded.

The RDNO said the notice would be in place until Interior Health sample testing shows the water is safe to drink.

Grindrod residents are advised to bring tap water to a roiling boil for a full minute before drinking; using to make food, ice, beverages or baby formula; washing food; and using to brush teeth.
