A notorious North Okanagan man was issued a short sentence for a breach of probation.

Curtis Sagmoen appeared in Kamloops court Thursday, August 1, on a charge of failing to keep the peace and be on good behaviour, contrary to an order.

The B.C. Prosecution Service said Sagmoen was sentenced to one day in custody, in addition to another two days served in pre-sentence custody, which were credited as time and a half, or three days.

Sagmoen was also facing a charge of possession of a firearm contrary to an order, but the Crown directed a stay of proceedings on that count as he was allegedly in possession a single shotgun shell, and not an actual weapon.
