Initiative launched to help Kelowna businesses go green

A new city program is available for Kelowna businesses to enhance their green practices.

The city has partnered with GreenLaunch Solutions to launch the GreenStep Certified, a program aimed at helping businesses go green.

The program offers businesses assessments to their current green practices, and coaching to identify new steps they can take to play a role in climate action such as reducing emissions, being more energy efficient, conserving water, using low carbon transportation models, reducing waster, and restoring ecosystems.

The city said the program will help business owners save money and reduce emissions, while also aligning with Kelowna’s climate and environmental goals.
