Greater Vernon Chamber accepting submissions for Business Excellence Awards

The nomination process has opened for the 40th annual Business Excellence Awards.

The awards, given out by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, celebrate the achievements of the local business community.

There are 19 categories for the awards ranging from New Business of the Year to Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and from Non-Profit Excellence to Customer Service. This year has a new category as well, Agri-Business Excellence, which celebrates the role agriculture plays in the region.

“The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce has a long history of supporting and recognizing the remarkable contributions of businesses in the North Okanagan,” Dan Proulx, General Manager of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, said.

“We are thrilled to continue this tradition with the 40th Annual Business Excellence Awards and look forward to celebrating the outstanding businesses that make our community thrive.”

Nominations can be submitted online here until August 26.

Once the submissions have been collected, businesses will submit detailed applications to showcase their strengths and contributions to the community, which will be evaluated by a panel of judges.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Vernon and District Performing Centre on October 24.
