No-swim notice lifted at several Vernon beaches on Okanagan Lake
It’s safe to swim again at several beaches on Okanagan Lake in Vernon.
The City of Vernon said a public notice that was issued for Kin Beach and Paddlewheel Park Beach on July 6 has been rescinded and the facilities have reopened to the public.
“Results from water quality testing at Kin Beach and Paddlewheel Park indicate bacterial levels are low and back within the acceptable range set in the Guidelines for Canadian Recreational Water Quality,” a city news release stated.
A water quality advisory remains in place for Lakeshore Park.
