Jul 4, 2024 | 10:10 AM

Several people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 north of Vernon Wednesday afternoon (July 3).

Police say a car was travelling south around 5 p.m. when an oncoming car crossed the centre line and collided with the front driver’s panel of the southbound vehicle, causing both vehicles to go off the road and into a ditch near Meadowlark Road.

“The southbound vehicle remained upright; however, the second vehicle rolled, coming to rest on its roof,” RCMP Cpl. Tania Finn, media relations officer, told Vernon Matters.

The occupants of the vehicle that rolled were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
