Snow brings early end to bonus weekend at bike park

The bonus weekend for SilverStar’s bike park got shut down early due to the weather.

The event went ahead Saturday (June 15) despite snow on the mountain and the die-hards appeared to love it.

“Thanks for sharing in the snowy, Bonus Day fun today!,” the resort stated on social media.

However, with heavy snow expected on Sunday, operators decided to shut down for that day.

The bike park’s official opening will be held this Friday (June 21).

The resort decided to open the bike season a weekend early due a quick snow melt and crews getting the trails ready ahead of schedule.
