The Shuswap Trail Alliance will host a celebration to mark the fourth annual B.C. Trails Day.

The alliance will hold a family friendly Spring Trails Celebration, featuring a performance by Shred Kelly, at the South Canoe (east of Salmon Arm) trailhead on June 1.

“The trails within the Shuswap are a success, in large part, due to our municipal and regional partners, the trail volunteers, stewards and users,” Jen Bellhouse, Executive Director of the STA, said.

“The collaboration between governments, organizations, and multiple user groups is something to commemorate and the Shuswap Trail Alliance would like the opportunity to celebrate the trails with the people who make them possible.”

Along with having Shred Kelly play, the event will have Yukon Smash Burger, Arma and ShuPops serving up dinner and treats, and there will be a beverage garden supplied by the Barley Station and Shuswap Cider Co.

People are reminded to bring chairs and plenty of water.

The Spring Trails Celebration will run from 4 to 8 p.m. June 1. Attendance for people aged 19 and over will cost $25, with ticket details at the STA website. The event will be free to attend for people aged 18 and younger.
