Company returns to complete upgrade on Coldstream road

A project to upgrade the water mains and pavement on part of Coldstream Creek Road has resumed after taking the winter off.

Copcan Ltd. was not able to finish its work between McClounie Road and Ormsby Drive last fall due to freezing temperatures in November.

The District of Coldstream said the company will be completing water main upgrades and road reconstruction.

“Crews will be raising manhole lids, catch basin grates, and watermain valve covers. Works will also include sweeping and prepping the road for the second lift of pavement,” a district news release said.

Paving is scheduled to be completed by April 5, 2024.

“To facilitate these works and to minimize confusion during construction, Coldstream Creek Road will be open to local traffic only, starting Tuesday, March 19,” the release stated.

The ‘local traffic only zone’ will be from from McClounie Road to Ormsby Drive, as shown on the diagram below.
