Boil water advisory lifted

The Township of Spallumcheen has given the all-clear to a local water source.

The municipality has lifted a boil water advisory for the Larkin Water Local Area Service as of March 12.

“The Larkin reservoir cleaning and water line flushing was completed successfully and during those procedures, as per standard practice, a boil water advisory was issued to ensure public safety,” a news release from the township stated.

“Water quality sampling has been completed and it was confirmed by Interior Health that it is now safe to remove that advisory,” the release added.
