District seeks input on new budget, higher than normal increase

Coldstream is still looking to hear from the public about its proposed 2024 budget.

The second and final public input session for the district’s 2024-2028 financial plan is being offered Friday (March 8) from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Municipal Office on Kalamalka Road.

Council is proposing a higher than normal 9.7 per cent tax hike this year, which is due to issues like rising policing costs and inflation.

The increase would amount to $155 for the average property owner assessed at $922,000.
