TV/film industry showing rapid growth in Okanagan, forum planned
Organizers of an upcoming TV and film industry event say the Okanagan is experiencing an unprecedented surge in productions.
The third installment of the Okanagan TV/Film Industry Forum will be held Saturday, March 16 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Kelowna Film Studios on Keehn Road in Kelowna.
The event is designed to connect creative professionals, local businesses, enthusiasts and the community.
“The Okanagan TV/Film Industry Forum is a collaborative initiative designed to inform the community of the tremendous positive impact that this rapidly growing industry has on our local economy, businesses and employment,” a news release from the forum stated. “It will also offer an in-depth look at career opportunities on both sides of the camera and how to best get started or advance in the industry.”
