The RCMP has renewed its call for assistance to locate a senior who has been missing for over two months.

Robert Lee Baines was reported missing on January 2, 2024, and hasn’t been seen since.

The 83-year-old, who reportedly suffers from Alzheimer’s, was last seen by his family at a residence on Ponderosa Way in Coldstream, which is near Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.

“Some time has passed since Mr. Baines was reported missing and we are issuing this information again to remind the public that he has not been found,” Constable Chris Terleski, media relations officer, said.

“An extensive search was conducted in his neighbourhood, Kalamalka Park, and on Kalamalka Lake without any success. With spring approaching, more people will be frequenting these areas, and we’d like to remind the public to keep an eye out for anything that might help us find him.”

Baines is described as Caucasian, standing 6′ tall and weighing 221 lbs. He is bald with brown eyes.

When last seen, Baines was wearing a green Tilly hat, green jacket, grey Stanfields sweater, blue jeans, and brown Merrell hiking shoes.
