Free snowshoe outing offered on Pro-D Day

The Vernon Outdoors Club is providing a way for parents and their kids to get out and enjoy the great outdoors on an upcoming Professional Development Day when there won’t be any classes.

The club has been working with BC Parks to offer a free snowshoe event on Friday, Feb. 16 at 9 a.m. at the Sovereign Lodge.

“BC Parks is covering the cost of snowshoe rentals and hot chocolate at the end of the event and the Outdoors Club is providing experienced guides,” Janet Blakeborough from the club told Vernon Matters.

To register, text to 250-550-7063 by Friday, Feb. 9 to give the names of the adult and ages of children wishing to attend (maximum of two kids per adult).
