Ethan David stopped all 39 shots fired his way to backstop the Vernon Vipers to a 2-0 road win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Wednesday night at the Shaw Centre.

It was the 20-year-old David’s 15th win, and third shutout, of the BC Hockey League season as the Vipers improved to 21-12-1-0, and within three points of the third place Silverbacks.

The goals came from Isaac Tremblay with his 16th in the first period, and Carson McGinley with the first for the Phoenix, AZ product, in the second stanza.

Eli Pulver made 22 saves for the Silverbacks.
