Chamber introduces new events and promotions coordinator

The Greater Vernon Chamber has announced a new staff person.

The business organization has hired Kathryn Gidluck as its new events and promotions coordinator.

“Coming from the bustling city of Vancouver, Kathryn joins the Greater Vernon Chamber with open arms,” Chamber general manager Dan Proulx said. “With an event-focused background, Kathryn comes from overseeing the operations at the Vancouver Convention Centre in the heart of Vancouver.”

Proulx said after managing a team up to 30 team members, Gidluck had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of event execution from her six years at the centre.

Gidluck moved to the Okanagan three years ago and oversaw events at O’Rourke Family Estate, a new winery in Lake Country.
