Proof of Vernon residency now required to buy Stay Active passes

Nov 15, 2023 | 5:00 PM

Vernon residents who purchase Stay Active passes through Vernon Recreation Services will now have to make sure they bring their official ID with them.

Effective immediately, proof of ‘City of Vernon’ residency is required to purchase a 90-day, 180-day or an annual Stay Active Pass. These changes will be in effect until December 31.

The changes are necessary to manage program access in the lead up to new user fee system (Vernon Resident Program) starting January 1, 2024.

Recreation Services users who do not live within the City of Vernon boundaries, are still able to access programs and services during this time. Access to the Stay Active pass program for non-Vernon residents will resume in January 2024.

Proof of Vernon residency can be confirmed through government-issued photo ID with the current Vernon address and a supporting utility bill or tenant agreement, if your address isn’t up to date.

To confirm that you are a City of Vernon resident, you can check your address on the electoral jurisdiction map here.

More information about the Vernon Resident Program and new user fee pricing will be released by the city in the coming weeks.
