A crowd of just over 2,500 came out to Kal Tire Place Friday night to see the Vernon Vipers get their first shutout of the BC Hocky League season.

First star Ethan David made 25 saves as the Vipers blew out the Prince George Spruce Kings 8-0, improving their record to 11 wins and 4 losses.

Seven different Vipers netted goals including defenceman Anthony Cliche with a pair, giving the Vallee-Jonction, Quebec native six on the season.

Owen Kim added a goal and one helper in a game that saw a slew of penalties in the third period.

The Vipers are now off until Friday, Nov. 10 when they will host the Merritt Centennials.

The Interior division-leading Penticton Vees stayed two points ahead of the second place Vipers with a 5-1 win over the Cranbrook Bucks on Friday.
