Council finalizes plan for new recreational lanes
Coldstream council has given the go-ahead to spending $433,000 to design and construct walking and biking lanes on Aberdeen Road.
A three-metre-wide buffered paved shoulder will be installed on the west side of the road, along with a one-metre paved shoulder on the east side.
Funding for the project will come from the community works fund (formerly Gas Tax).
The work will be done as part of a $3 million sewer extension project on Aberdeen Road with the timelines not announced by the district as yet.
