There are no longer any properties in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District under evacuation orders.

On Thursday, Oct. 5, the CSRD rescinded the order issued Sept. 6 for properties that sustained structure loss and were severely impacted by the Bush Creek East wildfire, and deemed the areas to be “all clear.”

The CSRD warned there may be hazards on the properties caused by the wildfires and advised people to review safety information in the Shuswap Emergency Program, Recover Shuswap and Provincial Disaster Recovery Resources prior to returning to their properties.

People in need of additional support can contact the CSRD Emergency Operations Centre at 250-833-3350.

As of the last update from the B.C. Wildfire Service Monday, Oct. 2, the 45,613 hectare wildfire in the Shuswap was classified as being held.

An estimate from the CSRD on Sept. 5 stated 176 structures had been lost and 50 others were damaged in the wildfire.
