Rookie powers Vipers to win over Cents
The Vernon Vipers improved to 2-1 on the young BC Hockey League season with a 4-2 win over the Merritt Centennials Friday night.
A crowd of 1,774 took in the game at Kal Tire Place.
Rookie Shea Busch led the Vipers with a goal and two assists. The 16-year-old from North Vancouver’s first BCHL goal was the game winner midway through the 3rd period. He also assisted on goals by Hank Cleaves and Isaac Tremblay.
“Getting my first goal was a dream come true,” Busch said. “This was one of many wins to come for the Vipers this season.”
