Vernon Vipers win pre-season debut

The Vernon Vipers started the BC Hockey League pre-season on a winning note.

Czechia product Adam Csabi scored 42 seconds into overtime to give the Vipers a 5-4 win over the Trail Smoke Eaters Sunday afternoon at Kal Tire Place in both teams’ pre-season opener.

Bronson Ross, a Winnipeg product, added two goas for the Snakes who outshot the Smokies 41-31.

Georgios Stavrianeas from Brossard, Quebec picked up three assists for Vernon who split the goaltending between Dylan Adams and Colin Reay.
