Amber Alert cancelled as missing children found safe

Jul 29, 2023 | 10:33 PM

The children who had been missing for 10 days and were subjects of an Amber Alert have been located.

The RCMP say eight year old Aurora Bolton and 10 year old Joshuah Bolton were located and were safe.

Police stated the children from Surrey were located at approximately 7:20 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 10 days after the Amber Alert was first issued, and were in the process of being reunited with their family.

The RCMP did not disclose where the children were located.

The Amber Alert was issued June 19, two days after the mother of the children, Verity Bolton, was supposed to return them to their father in Surrey following a trip to the Interior.

Police said the last known sighting prior to them being found was at a gas station in Merritt on July 7. Verity was last seen at a grocery store in Kamloops on July 15.

It was believed that Verity’s father, Rober Bolton, and her boyfriend, Abraxos Glazov, were traveling with the mother and two children. Police also suspected the group had gone “off the grid.”

The RCMP did not provide any information on Verity or Robert Bolton, Glazov, or if they were located and charged with any crimes.
