Amber Alert update: Children, mother still missing

An Amber Alert is still in effect for for an eight-year-old girl and her 10-year-old brother who were last seen at a Kelowna restaurant more than two weeks ago.

Surrey RCMP say Aurora and Joshuah Bolton are believed to be with their mother, Verity Bolton, who didn’t return them to their father this week as she was supposed to, after a vacation in Kelowna.

The three could be travelling in a blue Dodge D-250 pickup with BC License plate SJ2 708.

RCMP have not issued an update on the case so far today.

An Amber Alert has been issued for two children last seen in Kelowna.

The alert, issued at approximately 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 19 by Surrey RCMP, said 10-year-old Joshuah Bolton and eight-year-old Aurora Bolton’s last known location was Krafty’s Kitchen and Bar in Kelowna.

Joshuah is described as having brown hair and blue eyes.

Aurora is described as 3’11” tall with brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes

The suspect in the case is Verity Bolton.

She is described as 45 year old, 5’2″ tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Boltons may be travelling in a blue 2012 Dodge D250 with B.C. license plate SJ2708.

The alert said anyone who sees the suspect or children should not approach them and instead call 911 immediately.

On July 18, 2023 Surrey RCMP received a report that two children had not been returned to their father, by their mother, after being on vacation in the Kelowna, BC area.

The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit with assistance of the Missing Persons Unit are actively working to locate Verity Bolton and her two children, 8-year-old Aurora Bolton and 10-year-old Joshuah Bolton. Despite investigate efforts to date, police have not been able to locate them.

The children have been in the company of their mother since June 28, 2023, when they departed Surrey, BC. They were supposed to be returned to their father, who has primary custody, on July 17, 2023 but they were not and no one has been able to make contact with them.

Verity and the children were last seen in Kelowna, BC on June 30, 2023 at Krafty’s Kitchen and Bar. Police have been advised that they were planning on camping in the area but have determined that the booking was cancelled.

Police believe they are travelling in a Blue 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab pick-up truck, British Columbia license Plate SJ2708.

At this point in the investigation, based on the totality of information that has been obtained through the investigative steps taken yesterday and today, Surrey RCMP determined that this case met the criteria for an Amber ALERT.

Surrey RCMP are concerned for the health and well-being of Aurora Bolton and Joshuah Bolton.

Aurora Bolton is described as a 8- year-old, Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. (3’11) Joshuah Bolton is described as a 10-year-old Caucasian Male, with Brown hair and blue eye.

The mother Verity Bolton is described as a 45-year-old Caucasian Female with Brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees the mother or children is asked to call 911 and refer to the information provided in the Amber ALERT. If you have tips from a specific location please contact your local police of jurisdiction.
