Record-breaking weather in 33 B.C. communities
Heat records were set or tied in 33 British Columbia communities Sunday including Vernon where a 99-year old record was broken.
The mercury reached 31.6 degrees Celsius on May 14, eclipsing the old mark of 30.0 set in 1924.
Kelowna also set a record at 31.9 degrees, surpassing the old standard of 30.2 set in 2018.
