Helicopter used for gazebo installation, traffic impacted

Residents in the Middleton Mountain area may notice helicopter activity this week which is connected to a community project.

There will also be some impact to traffic.

The District of Coldstream is installing a new gazebo at McKergow Meadows from April 17 to May 4.

“During this time, a helicopter will be used to airlift steel beams and concrete up to the site,” Trevor Seibel, district CAO, said.

Minor traffic interruptions are expected as shown below.

April 17 – 20: Site preparation – no impact is expected to traffic.

April 21: A portion of Middleton Way will be closed to through traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., as shown on the map below in blue.

Residents are asked to find alternative routes. Access to homes will not be blocked.
