The City of Vernon is accepting bids to design the new Active Living Centre.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) invites architect firms to make submissions and be involved in the design of the new recreational facility (ALC).

“The City [of Vernon] seeks to create a partnership with a qualified architecture firm to participate in the ALC project,” stated the RFP.

“Experience and familiarity with IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) ideology, methodology and mindset are vital. The Architect team should have considerable experience with designing facilities which are similar to the ALC requirements.”

Bidders will need to include information relating to pricing, proposal content and more. Details can be found through the City’s RFP.

Submissions for the project can be made between March 31 and April 28.

The deadline to submit questions related to the project is April 19, and the last day to issue additional information is April 21.

The City will create a short list of bidders and conduct interviews in May. It’s estimated that the bid will be awarded on May 23.

Questions relating to the project can be submitted through the Procurement Portal.
